il bambino martino
So I'm told I need a new catalytic converter. I give them the VIN, and the price is somewhere around $600. For other VINs you can get them for around $200. How would installing the cheaper kind for another 70 series Volvo (or some generic) affect the car? Is it even possible? Thanks
lookforjoe
If it's clogged, just hollow it out & add a 02 spacer (from IPD/Rallitek) to prevent a CEL. If it's not clogged, just failing emissions, add the 02 spacer & you'll pass the sniff test. '98's have a massive "S" bend in the DP & that is part of the cat; hence it only fits '98 XC

A cat for California legal for 96 855 is over one G. That is a sure way to double the value of my car! luckily the car passed SMOG on the fifth try by 2 ppm!
