turboVULVA
how about for the two trim lines on the roof? Does this work for that also? Mine are kind of faded and some parts have tiny cracks...

You can, since it'll flex well. I used plastidip, and it worked fine too. Lowe's carries it. For that, I'd recommend scraping them down to the bare metal (a Dremel works best for that, off the car obviously), scuffing them to help adhesion then using some Pastidip. I had done a write up, as had Chuck on it, I'll dig one up for you. Lin to fixing roof trim
7 VII 7
It's the same product that Taskmule just linked, but in gray. And you posted it for $3 cheaper. HA, and yet I still get -1s
Serge
how about for the two trim lines on the roof? Does this work for that also? Mine are kind of faded and some parts have tiny cracks... Painted my S70 roof rails with the same technique, about a year in and they look great. The front bumper is about two years running and looks perfect; no fading, no chipping and no peeling. Doesn't hold up so well on 850 door handles, but I just used S70 handles body color matched.
z31jaime
why not just paint them black and not have to apply anything later? thats what i was thinking about doing...unless there is a reason why no one is doing it?

matt b
why not just paint them black and not have to apply anything later? thats what i was thinking about doing...unless there is a reason why no one is doing it? For me, it boils down to colors. I like the grey more than the black and with a brand new rear bumper that contains a lot of grey, I wan the front to match. I went the same route as Serge (Liquid Kernel) and I'm using white S70 door handles.
RBoy8
I use Turtle Wax: Wet 'n' Black I apply it by spraying some on a kitchen sponge and wiping over the molding. I've found that if I rub it on and give it some time, the plastic absorbs it and doesn't run. It only runs if I apply it and then for some reason, it rains a couple hours later/the next day . Longevity isn't too bad either. Lasts for about 3-4 washes before needing to be applied again. I also prefer having grey over pure black, though.
