brr2f
Is the opening in a '94 850 large enogh for a 5.25" kappa or will I need to cut the extra 13mm of metal off as it says to do on volvospeed's mod. section? I only ask because I need to borrow some tools as the system arrives tomorrow.

I found that the easiest and cleanest thing to do is actually make a few dremel incisions and then hammer the metal flat to make more room, instead of actually grinding it all away. btw, I made my dremel overheat and also burnt out my friends power drill (oops) so that's partially why I preferred to hammer out my second door. tboyko
was it fairly easy to do tbokyo?←I would not say easy, but i wouldn't say super hard either. I just made a few cuts so that i could then flatten it out. A warning though, I had to take the speaker out and put some electrical tape along the back of the door because I think my speaker terminals or magnet was occasionally grounding out through the door and creating a TON of noise in my speaker and matching component tweet.you can see a pic here: http://www.7cures.com/gallery/view_photo.p...004&id=IMG_1513on that door, i dremeled that little edge, but on the left door, i just made some perpendicular cuts with respect to the circular cutout and then flattened. much cleaner and quicker. steve s
used speaker baffles on my end... partly because i was pretty sure the rear speakers had a shield on top to protect it from water in the event the window gets rolled down. and in fact i did find it wet on one occassion when i took apart the panel after a rainy day. aftermarket speakers don't have shields, so i put speaker baffles in all the doors..
