tallahasseegreys Posted December 3, 2004 Report Share Posted December 3, 2004 Well I finally cured my annoying rattling tailgate. I ordered a latch/lock mechanism from volvosaabparts.com. The stealer wanted $170, and I got it for $65 plus $15 shipping. Installed it in 15 minutes, and the tailgate is now solid as a rock. An added benefit is that my key fob now unlocks & locks ALL of my doors, including the tailgate.If you're having trouble with an extremely rattly (is that a word) tailgate, check the rivets in the latch.
