Thorsteenster Posted March 8, 2010 Report Share Posted March 8, 2010 Have been starting a list of components to build a PC into my Volvo for music, movies, GPS etc. Lilliput makes a 8" HD touchscreen that can mount in the dash in place of the factory unit, Intel has come out with several M-ITX MoBo's and should be able to stash one somewhere along with a Quad Core processor and a SSD drive. For sound I'm thinking of a refurb Logitech Z-5500 system from Ebay and using the amp and perhaps speakers if I can work them in somewhat stockish looking for surround sound. Not going for a killer sound system, just something enjoyable for extended trips/stop and go traffic. Could turn into a "build" thread, or just a BS thread, but wondering if anyone else has an in car PC here. You can buy solutions in cases and ready to install, but I'll be doing mine all on my own.
