Kevin.
I recently purchased new lenses for my 95 850, and now I wanted to know if it's possible to clean my reflectors without damaging the actual reflective surface
icelandic
Unless something has been invented in that sense, there is no way to clean the reflector without causing at least some slight scratching. I cleaned mine about two years ago. With the lenses and bulbs out, I first blew dry compressed air over the surface to remove large particles. Then, and very carefully, I cleaned the surface using dry cotton balls. It worked really well, and I don´t think the surface lost much of its reflectivity. Do not use force in the process. Kevin.
well, is there a way to resurface them? I know that lighting has come a long way since 1995
Guest 850forum
Can you buy just a replacement reflector? Otherwise I'm going to try the metallic paint used by serious plastic modelers.
bergmjs
I would think a microfiber cloth with some purified or spring water wouldn't hurt it, as long as you do it very lightly.
