brr2f
is it better to drill a hole in a enclosed subwoofer box and run the wire through, then sealing it with sealant? Or is it best to buy a terminal, and if its best to use a terminal to feed the wires through, does it matter what kind of screws I use to put it on? Veneficus
I've always used terminals and then sealed them with caulk for all of the boxes I've helped people install. It gives you an easy way to work with the wires and then you don't have to seal a gaping hole in the box. As far as screws, I'm not too sure. Bing_0
many installers, along with myself, never uses terminals when it comes to building our own boxes. firstly, its time consuming, secondly, it is another weak point where wires can come loose inside the box, and thirdly, they always cause airleaks.what i do is this, drill a hole barely bigger than the wire it self, stuff wire through, caulk the hole from both sides, stick a piece of dampening material over the wire and the hole from both sides...guranteed to be durable and air tight ;)
