Turbosleeper
Ok so Im trying to install a 16t w/ angle flange on to my 94 850 Ive got the turbo bolts to the manifold but now Im having trouble with the coolant lines, I cant seem to get them to go on. Does anyone have a picture of a 16t turbo and can point out what lines go where. Is there any mondification needed to install this turbo? thx guys
--Aaron--
What kind of car/year is the 16T from? IIRC there's something that needs altered if it's from a newer P2 to allow the lines to fit on our cars.....

Make sure the crush washers aren't interfering with the banjo bolt when you are trying to start the bolt.
Turbosleeper
Lol you would think it to be. My tbelt was easier lol. The problem is the lower coolant line that goes to the bottom port of the turbo facing the firewall won't reach. And the upper coolant line doesn't reach either. On the back of turbo are two ports correct? One for coolant in and one for coolant out? And the port on the top side is for oil in and thentheres oil drain correct? I found a pic of a 16t on a v70 motor and the coolant line goes to a port that faces the engine block. Are there different 16t's out there anyone got a pic of a 16t showing the ports and what they should connect to. I knowthis shouldn't be so difficult
--Aaron--
OP I had a correct peice of information in this thread which I posted earlier today but for some reason it is not there. I will PM you with my thoughts when I can. To whom this may concern... Why delete something that someone says that is true and valid...... The 16t is slightly different in newer models. This is why I asked what year the 16t came from.

I was originally posting in performance and mods but was getting no answer so I started a thread under maintenance. It came out of a 2001 s60 t5 The bottom coolant and upper coolant lines dont want to go to where they were on the 15g.
Alan M
You will need to alter the water lines with a gas torch or similar to get them to fit on a later ME7 16t as the water ports on the body are in a different place to the 15g or early 16t models. It is possible though and only takes a few minutes to bend them to the correct shape if you are careful.

TRACStar
My current turbo is a 16T supposedly from a 05 S60 and it bolted up with zero modifications to water/oil lines, just needed to swap DP's

Find a plug for the port/'s your not using and fill them (you want to refrain from using a small bolt since the lines might not clear the bolt head). If my memory serves me right I believe the holes are something like 12mm x 1.25. Get this done and your good to go!! I believe the change in feed lines took place in 03'-04' so its rather interesting your having problem.
Turbosleeper
Ok thanks for your replies everyone. I ended up getting the turbo in. Its just the coolant lines were two short two reattach, they mustve been really stretched before. I extended the rubber hoseing connected to the hard lines and it was fine.
