Kevin.
When I bought my car 2 years ago, the previous owner refused to give me the OEM alarm remote for the car So I figured it was time to get one since Im tired of manually locking and unlocking my doors Can I just buy a new remote and have it work or do I have to go through the dealer? lengendsecko87
Google how to find the right remote for your car. They came with two different style remotes, so you have to figure out which one it is. I bought my remote on Ebay, pretty easy. Lol. Perhaps you could check with an Ebay seller to see if he can send two, then send back the one that doesn't work. There are plenty of guides of how to program them at home though. lengendsecko87
I think when I called it was like $100 for a keyfob. I got mine for $20 off eBay. You just need to make sure the FCCID is correct.

r850glt
It should match up with the number on the alarm module on pass side under the kick panel
Platinum850Wagon
I've got two remotes laying around. One is an older style with somewhat square buttons. The other is like my 96 850 with oval shaped buttons. Both seem to have that same letters and numbers on the back. The only one my old eyes can read is mpt 1340. I'll send you both of them for $20 plus shipping.

Kevin.
So neither of the remotes that I bought from you work on my car....not a big deal. I'm just trying to figure out which remote will work for my car. Doesn't it have something do to with my ECU number or something like that? Kevin.
Alright I got the remote programmed to my car. The only problem is, it will lock but not unlock Might be something wrong with the internals on the remote I suppose.
