/rant mode on

Who cares what it sounds like when you're just sitting there, revving the car with no load on the engine!? What really matters to most people (and the thing that I hardly ever see shown around here, not picking on you at all  ) is the in-cabin sound when cruising and at WOT. Drone is critical, and a nice tone when you really get on it is also important. Can you make another video while cruising on the highway at 55-65mph and floor it for however long you feel comfortable with to give a useful representation of what the exhaust really sounds like?

/rant mode off.

Sounds good otherwise, congrats on the turboback install? The OBX system certainly is a great deal for an aftermarket turboback setup. Got any dyno numbers or butt-dyno opinions to make this thread worthy of the performance section? B)

As soon as I pay to get my bumper painted and finish paying off all the repair parts I had to buy for my R, I'm getting this first chance I get.

You definately wont regret it =)

You get any rattles from it? Mine rattles, it's annoying as stuff. I have to figure out a way to stop it.

Yea Ive got rattles a couple of times but im not too sure where they are coming from..it isnt too bad...Im thinking its the large tip sticking out that is vibrating, I may need too get it cut and put further back

Thanks, appreciate the videos

I installed the OBX turbo back system a couple of weeks ago. I was worried that it would be too loud, but it sounds great. The fit wasn't as good as an OE exhaust, but it was alot better than some aftermarket systems that I've installed. I would have had a couple of rattles, but a couple of well placed "blows" with a BFH took care of it. One spot was where the pipe goes over the rear suspension and the other spot was the metal plate that bolts under the straight section of pipe. For the price I was very impressed with the quality.

thanks for the tip, maybe ill do that lol. I think its a great system, and it fit perfect on my car...using an angle flange, everything bolts up perfectly straight down to the muffler..it surprises me when people say that it has bad fitment

Tolerances, I suspect that some are much closer to the target dimensions than others, thus why we see a little variation on here. Even so, it's still a great deal, since I've only heard of one case where there was a serious problem with it (sealing the DP to the turbo, forget who had that issue)

Yeah, that's where it sounds like mines rattling. I guess I'll have to get under there and take care of that. I'd rather not hit it with a hammer, but I guess if that's what it takes. Is there a way to make shorter exhaust hangers? If the exhaust just sat like a quarter inch higher, all would be good.

it's probably touching your rear sway bar.

It's also on the metal plate right underneath the center console. It will vibrate there under accel and then when the car is at a weird angle, it will vibrate in the back. Super annoying. It's the last major rattle in my car that's left.
