Pricey...5 clamps and you can get a entire new exhaust after you sell one of the downpipes.

I was also wondering if you guys had difficulty with fitment. I'm ordering this exhaust in about 2 weeks for my 850T that I will swap the 15G for a 16T w/straight flange. I will also keep the test pipe with no cat, and remove that shitty heatshield just beside the gas tank.

IIRC even though it steps down the flanges are all 3"

fitment was great, very easy install, i did it buy myself with the front of car on jack stands about 3-4 " from my chest. will be best to have an extra set of hands

Hi thanks for the info, I will be adding an OBX system to my 96 850 T in the next few weeks. The only difference is that I will have to add a cat, I will be adding a magniflow cat dont have the exact model number on me right now. My question is that I have heard the obx system is a bit longer then the stock exhaust and therefore sticks out a bit. Once I am cutting the mid pipe to allow the cat, should I cut off a bit extra so it doesnt stick out in the back, if so how much extra should I cut off. I will also be adding and extra hole in the DP for an AFR gauge. I am having a local welder weld on a new flange and the bung for $40.

thanks

NO

Don't do that, the mid pipe needs to stay the exact length it is before adding the cat or it won't fit right. To fix it you just cut the tip and shorten that.

heh ? sorry didnt understand that I was planning on cutting the pipe after the cat - I shouldnt do that ? so where should I cut, and why wouldnt it fit, I am not changing the overall length.

Thanks

If you are adding a cat to the straight pipe, the length of that pipe needs to remain the same after installing the cat. Otherwise the resonator section and muffler section won't fit right (hangers won't line up, plus other fit "issues"). As 850T Wagon said, if the tip sticks out too far (mine didn't) then cut the tip off behind the muffler and shorten it.

I cut 1.5" before muffler. There is a straight section there. Fits perfect now. The only thing the shop had to do after cutting it is get some longer exhaust hangers for the final hanger. I would not cut it in the middle part.

I had the shop mount it loosely and then I figured out where to cut it and took it so a machinist to weld and cut.

I think you might have interference issue with the axles and then more than just the last hanger won't line up.

Hey,

So one of my exhaust clamps broke while putting my exhaust on........what should I buy...a 3" clamps, or smaller. It for the last section over the rear axel.
