volvo940tuner
Tempting, but looks like a little bit too much work for me to get involved with. Poor yellow!
Brad850
Whenever I see an R or T5-r in THAT bad condition it pisses me off. People suck.
scandalo
Bumper looks fixable if someone wanted to put time into fiberglassing it. All of it looks there just not together lol! Anyone looking to upgrade to a T5 and have a little fun (read blood, sweat, and a lot of tears) this would be an awesome ride. If I had the money and the space I would be all over this. Good luck with the sale.
volvo940tuner
How does the car actually run and drive?
troyhyde
Running state is unknown. According to the ad it ran fine when parked. I think it was parked for bumper / body repair since it is at a body shop. It has been sitting 4-5 years I believe. I actually have an R bumper here in my garage. I might throw it in for the right buyer. (one who is quick!) If I didn't have literally 5-6 Volvo projects already, I'd just go through the car and make it right. At least mechanically, and do the interior clean up. I could get the interior looking pretty presentable in a weekend.

troyhyde
Yea folks, this thing does need some love. I'll just drag it home and put it up on eBay. A good one seems to fetch decent money so surely this one is worth something. The interior will look all right and I can check out the mechanical state and see what's what. May not be that tough to put it on the road and start the healing process. I was hoping not to have to bring it home, the neighbors are already at their wits end with me (I think). Thanks for looking......
Dave 54
Hate to say it but I think the best thing would be to chop it up .
Mesoam
nah, just let the paint get all faded, mat yellow clean up the trim with some SEM ditch those seats for some cheap Corbeau's pull the CEL and just mod it till it blows
RI-T5
That is really depressing to see such a beautiful car go to crap at 109k. Previous owner is a retard I suppose if your pockets are deep its worth the labor involved
troyhyde
I've been looking at A-zone for a jumbo wing to mount to the rear decklid. Got my neon underbody lights ready to install. Momo steering wheel is on. Fart can is in place. Let's Rice!

pkc303
Hi Folks, just bought a T5R off of Craiglist. Don't need another car around here but couldn't resist since it was a yellow and was cheap. Anybody hunting for one in the Texas region? Car is pretty much all original though not in particularly good shape - cat back exhaust looks like a local muffler shop job. I'm going to take the wheels off for one of my cars here and replace with something generic, there's nothing else I need and don't want to put in all the labor to make the car nice. Front spoiler is badly damaged. Body fair, hood is okay but front fenders have some minor issues. Interior fair (dirty). Could be a good project car for someone who wants the "yellow" and doesn't mind labor and scrubbing. No aftermarket goodies on the car. Would like $1500 - you'll have to tow away. Deal has to go down yesterday if you know what I mean. My girlfriend will stab me in the eye if she finds out I've bought another car. Engine turns but condition unknown. Valvetrain has some milkshake in there so may need head gasket or other serious work. I can get pictures up tomorrow for any interested party. Not rusty being a southern car. Did I mention - needs work! Interested parties send me a PM and phone number, I can discuss. Not many of these were ever built or are still around.... Still for sale?
