Questions Putting Amp And Speakers In S70

Ok. I have a '98 S70 NA, pretty much the base model I believe, hubcaps and all that basic goodness. I am pretty proficient with mechanical and electrical stuff, so I'm pretty sure I will be able to install an amp someone gave me and some new speakers. Though I have a few questions about optimizing my install.

1. Amp placement. The amp is a fairly old (1997 maybe?) pioneer 45x4 amp. I want this to power two sets of speakers. One component set upfront, and one set in the rear. No sub. I think it would be ok to install underneath the drivers seat, having a piece of wood placed under the carpet onto which i would bolt the amp. I just want to make sure this is an ok idea though.

2. Front components. I want to go with value speakers. I know good home audio, I am a wharfedale fan. However I don't need the greatest car speakers, just somethign decent and an upgrade from stock. Anyway, I was thinking 6.5" Blaupunkt components, or maybe pioneer. I want to spend $120 or less, any suggestions would be loved. Another question about the front comps is tweater placement. I am currently thinking the little black panel that is on the inside of the rear view mirror, for ease of installation. Or would the stock tweat location be better?

3. Rear speakers. I have read a lot concerning best sound is from front only, etc. However I would still like 1 set of speakers in the rear for rear passengers. I don't think my car has speakers in the rear doors, but i do have grilles there so I assume I could install some there. However, if I am going to have a set of speakers in the rear is it best to have them in the doors, or up in the hat rack. If i put them in the doors, i would disconnect the ones in the hat rack. Also, as far as brand goes I would most likely buy a matching pair in the same brand that I chose for the front components.

Sorry for such a long post, but I tried to gather all the questions I had concerning my install and couldn't find direct answers in previous posts. Sorry if I missed some. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Sorry forgot to mention i have a Clarion Pro Audio head unit. Forget the exact model and I'm away at school. It does have front and rear preamp outs though.
