Turbosleeper
Willing to sell if the price is right, until then I will slowly put work into the car which will reflect the selling point at that given time. These cars are quite rare and were made only for the canadian market. There were 214 made and my guess is that there isnt very many of these around in good shape. The car runs excellent and passed ontario emissions with flying colours. It has 271000km which is about 170000 miles. It has a pretty mint interior featuring a dark walnut trim. It has both power driver and passenger front seats, both heaters work. The car does not burn any oil at all and has a fresh oil change using Lubro Moly. . Goodies: Front struts are Bilstein HD with IPD Springs New rear nivos OBX Strut bar Rear cross drilled rotors and pads Tint 20% on front 2 and 5% on back 5 EST wire mesh grill( stock still available) Msd Ignition Coil New volvo plugs PCV system K&N Cone filter New MAF Timing belt (continental) waterpump (hepu) Oem waterpump gasket, not the one that came with the pump. Asking 3000 which I believe to be fair as it is a rare car and is in good shape. Will pass any safety test as I just had it etested and safetied in Ontario. Thanks for looking Any questions just ask. Big Will
Neat car! Not sure that you can put Bilstein's in the rear since the car should have nivomats and there's no application for replacing them by Bilstein. How is the undercarriage of the car? Does the AWD system function to spec? If this could have waited about 4 months I would be interested.

The undercarraige is really good, looks to have always been taken care of. Im imaging the awd system working fine but i will get it on a hoist to test the awd on it. what price are you thinking around i dont want to insult you at all. Price in us dollars. what does that milage translate too? Do you hae lots of service records? Well see thats the thing, Im not sure what they are worth to the average volvo guy, im sure its worth more or less to others. Just make an offer. pm me. It has around 160,000 miles. No service records but the guy seems very tedious. And its always fixed by his neighbour who fixes all the police car for the county. I even saw the guy working on a cop car when i picked up the car. Im going to post a picture which shows a bit of oil around cap..my guess is the pcv system at one time was clogged. Anyways there is no excessive blow by and the car doesnt show any external leaks anywhere. Its been in my garage over a clean spot and theres no drips
T5-Craig
I dorve one of these when I was looking for my T5, a black one in London with 216,000 Km on the clock. So these are basically LPT's with 190HP, you could only get them in Canada from what I have read (with the 5spd that is). If the AWD system was maintained then it should not be an issue. Do the tires have equal tread waer? Vary cool car - do you have 2 sets of wheels with it as well? Also how is the leather, in good condition or no? Might be interested if the price is right. Cheers,
Turbosleeper
the condition inside is very nice leather isnt torn or anything. All tires are even tread. The car was taken care of. I believe only two owners. Me the 3rd. If price is right you will get a new clutch in box even though it does not need replacement...front struts however do...although i am putting bilsteins in so then we can add that to the price or put stock back in. Turbosleeper
well with 160,000miles would 3000$ usd be too high..keep in mind it was never offered to the states and there were a very limited amount even in canada
JDMS60R
You can easily change out the Nivomats, my R came with them and they were shot. All you need to do is buy the standard rear shock bushing that bolts into the body under the rear carpeted panels, iirc maybe 30 bucks for the pair. Definately a rare bird, ask for more money, and good luck with the sale.

Piston Slapper
What kind of legal issues would I be looking at importing this car to the states? DOT inspection? Customs?

We have a rear differential and completely different rear end than the FWD nivomat-equipped cars. The only options for AWD nivomats suspension is to replace it with new nivomats, find a set of Öhlins like I have (these are getting hard to find at Volvo dealers in the US), or buy the Intrax Coilover Suspension from the Netherlands which is even more expensive than the Öhlins. 3000 USD is a fair price for that car if it's generally in good mechanical shape with functioning AWD. Good luck with the sale and if it's still for sale come summer I'll probably make a fair offer. Also, the 850 AWD only came in 5 spd manual. There were no automatics of this particular car. In '98 7 V70 AWD manuals made their way into Canada. Of those 7, I believe that 3 are in the States now and my own '98 wagon is "#8" What kind of legal issues would I be looking at importing this car to the states? DOT inspection? Customs? No real legal issues importing to the US from Canada. You will be required to change over the speedometer to one that is MPH dominant and naturally have an inspection if your state requires it. Other than that, it should just be paperwork. Importing from Europe is nearly impossible on the other hand if the car is less than 25 years old.
