volvo940tuner Posted April 10, 2010 Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 I have mentioned this caravan several times in the official Volvos @ Ikea 2010 thread, but I wanted to post a seperate thread as well to make it entirely clear to everyone what the plan is. MASSACHUSETTS CARAVAN: We are meeting at my house and LEAVING my house at 5:00 AM the morning of this meet, Sunday 4/25/10. Several people are coming down the night before and spending the night. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE MEETING AT MY HOUSE SO WE DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT YOU! From my house in Massachusetts, we will be traveling up 495 north to the Mass Pike. Then, we will be taking the Pike west almost the entire length. IF ANYONE IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS WANTS TO JOIN OUR CARAVAN AS WE MAKE OUR WAY WEST ACROSS THE PIKE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO WE CAN SCHEDULE A PLACE TO MEET YOU! CONNECTICUT/RHODE ISLAND CREW: We will be meeting you at Ikea of New Haven, CT around 7:00 AM. The CT/RI crew has already confirmed that they plan on gathering at this spot around 6:30-6:45 AM. We should leave this stop NO LATER THAN 7:15 AM! NEW JERSEY/NEW YORK CREW: We will be meeting you at the rest stop on the NJ Turnpike just after exit 8. We met there at the last Ikea meet, and it has a wide open parking lot. We will plan to be there sometime around 10:00 AM. This is our last stop in the caravan. If anyone else wants to join on the way, just wait on the NJ Turnpike until you see a bunch of Volvos drive past, or contact someone in the caravan to figure it out. We will be arriving at Ikea after the meet is scheduled to start, which is the plan. If anyone has any questions, please contact me. This meet is coming up very soon, so PLEASE DO NOT WAIT TO CONTACT ME. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ANYONE PLANNING ON MEETING AT MY HOUSE IN MASSACHUSETTS CONTACT ME!!! I already know that you, Man, Tom, Jarrod, Brian, Sam, Anthony, and their friend (sorry, forget his name..he has a white t5 wagon), and myself will be leaving from my house the morning of...and whoever else wants to meet there. Keep in mind, we will be stopping several times along the way so the drive won't seem as long.Also, for those of you meeting at my house the night before and staying over...I am thinking maybe we can have a little fire in the backyard and have a few brews.
