piperpilot
I just can't figure out how to remove the grills on the rear shelf in my 99 s70. I am afraid to pry or pull on them too hard. I want to remove the 8's so that I can get some bass into the cabin. I have a jl 10w7 in the trunk and would like to hear some bass without riding with the back seat down. Also does anyone know is Infinity kappa 6.5 componets will fit in the front doors. I am looking at the 60.5cs model for the front doors and 62.5i for the rear doors. eochief
I am stymied by this rear speaker grille problem also. I cannot see how the speakers are removed from the trunk. You can get some limited access but the steel body structure does not permit removal unless I am totally missing something. I've got a cracked speaker and would love to access it for repair or replacement.I wrote in for suggestions on the proper procedure but stillhaven't gotten the shelf off from inside, which apears to be the only way.Please.. the cracked speaker is killing me! What is procudure?Four tiny screws would have been so much easier!

JOESBELMONT
I don't have access to vadis, but I have first hand experience taking out the rear deck speakers in my 99 s70. Locate the side bolsters on the back seat. My back seat is leather and the bolsters are half leather and half carpeted. Pull up and out on these and they will unlatch and come completely out. This takes a medium almost hard amount of force. Once this is done, lay down the back seat. Then lift up the plastic carpeted rear deck panel and it pops up. Then pull it forward and let it rest on the folded seat and also supported by the seat belt straps that thread through the panel.
