cgodfrey
Bone stock 850 R Wagon stereo. All 4 tweeters are toast. Rear door speakers are toast. Front door speakers still work, but sound pretty crappy. It seems tweeter replacement in the 850 wagons require a bit of MacGuyvering that will wait for another day (or year) I'm not gonna go crazy, keeping factory HU, and want to keep factory grilles. I'm intrigued by the Blaupunkt THIN Series. I wanna do all 4 doors Blaupunkt THIN series 5.25's. Any reason I should NOT do this?

I replaced all my speakers with MB Quart 5.25's, everything went straight in. About tweeters, I was at Princess Auto one day (think Harbour Freight) and they had generic poly 3" speakers with a center mounted dome tweeter on sale. I bought a couple, removed my stock dash tweeters, and screwed those babies in. They sound SO much more present than the stock tweeters, but that could be because the old ones had rips...but it was an easy cheap fix. And no MacGyvering. :)
