Fin-Solo
So I am in the process of inspecting my car underneath, and found this Rubber boot not where it should be. The Driver side rubber boot is in place. My question is, how do I put this back up, and what is this thing?
mkc70
Looks like you need a new retaining pin. http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-C70-1998-2005/Suspension-&-Steering/Retaining-Pin-Rear-Spring-Bump-Stop/p-75-553-790/
Fin-Solo
Thanks for the info. Is there any issue with driving around like this? or is it just added noise?

Black Betty
the only issue is thats the bump stop to keep you from bottoming out. Since its fallen its no exactly vertical and thus somewhat shorter. You might bottom out but likely you wont. FYI i just rented spring compressors and took the spring out for the repair...I get frustrated quickly with simple tasks so I gave up trying to snake that retaining pin in with the spring there lol.
