Curious, are you reseting your mpg-avg with every fill up? Try not resetting every fill up and see if things 'settle down'. Otherwise, if you're the type to drive from your house to the pump to fill up before work the next day, that short trip might spoil the average if you only have a small data set from a recent reset. Yes, I reset everytime but only when the tank is close to dry (about 30-40 miles driven on the gas light). I will try not resetting it just to see but since all of my numbers are high compared to actual I don't know if it will make a difference. If I was sometimes over by 20% and sometimes under by 20% I would guess it just needed to be averaged for longer but all of mine come in with the computer considerably higher than the actuals.
