what do you do for a living?

are these all outside or garaged?

does the wife agree with this obsession?

lol, cool regardless!

Retired at the moment. was in a car accident 7 or so weeks ago & shattered my left hip. Prior to that I owned my own bodyshop for 14 years.

The wife doesn't say much. she doesn't pay for them. lol

How reliable are those older Saabs?

I've always been into them.

They're so so. they have there problems, weak tranny's ect. but once you get to know them there pretty simple. you can do a clutch in about 40 minutes without getting under the car. but an alternator is a bitch.

Nice collection Dave  Are you going to bring one of these cars from your collection to Griots? do you still have the P2 V70 R?

What is Griots ? I Do still have the P2. Have the black 97 855R, the Olive 00 VR, the E. Silver P2 VR. an Ocean Race 02 XC70, a Silver 96 855 Sport, 92 945T & I think thats about it for the moment.

The P2 has been sitting so long I think there might be something wrong with the clutch, or clutch line possibly. . . I guess they have a 1 way valve built into them that sometime's causes trouble. waiting for my Volvo Master Tech buddy to get back to me on that one.

Wow! You do have a Swedish dealership in your backyard  Very cool you still have the P2 R, love the way that car sits and the color

Griots? It's a detail garage in Tacoma and there is a showing of the "naughty" S60 there this Sunday. VCOA and KOMO are going to be there and so is the local Volvo guys, Danny, Brian, me, etc.... You should try and go.

Sucks about the clutch, hopefully nothing serious.

I've been More than happy with it. especially for the $ difference between the manufactures. I did the tune when I first bought the car with 77K on it. I've since sold the car & bought it back.(in Much worse shape than I sold it) Just did a new head gasket, water pump & T-belt.(has just over 116K now) it has Really good get up & go off the line, idle's smooth & runs out Really well. Inmotion is great in that you give them 100 dep & they send you the ECU removal tool (don't believe you need this on a 98) I sent my ECU to them on a Mon & had it back at my house on that same Wed's. So not alot of down time. I have Numerous car's so it didn't matter, but you know how it is when waiting on a new toy. If I can answer any other questions for you feel free to ask. I've never checked, but I don't think the MPG are much worse than stock, might even be alittle better if you drive it nicely. obviously if your deep in the throttle it'll still suck down the fuel.

Glad you like the collection.
