Pirate99gs
I have a 2000 s70, and as the title states, the alarm stopped working tonight. When locking the doors, the lights do not flash, and the red LED light doesn't "blip". I searched to find an answer, but I guess my search skills area lacking. The key fob still works, I can lock and unlock the doors, panic button still works. I locked the doors with the window down, and opened the door from the inside, and the alarm didn't go off. I had been working under the steering wheel prior (adjusting the hood latch cable). Is there a possibility that I jarred something?? Thanks in advance for any help Pieter
jschaefer7406
Hello, One of your doors is not latching. Or at least not registering to the alarm module that it's latched . Being that you were just adjusting the hood latch, I'd suspect that the hood is the one that's showing open. If a door is thought to be open, the alarm will not arm. Double check the adjustment and post back. You may be able to temporarily jump the microswith (located in the drivers side latch) and see if it arms then. Hope this helps, Joe
