tallahasseegreys
Something relatively cheap. Also, the bay13 maintenance section gives thicknesses at which FRONT rotors & pads need replacing, but it does not give this info for REAR brakes. Anyone know these measurements for the REAR brakes?
sublimished
Isnt it marked on the rotor?
Bay13
What is marked on all rotors is the legal limit. Volvo limits are to ensure you have good rotor left when putting new pads on the car.Front legal is 23mm, Volvo recommends 23.8 minRear legal is 8.4mm Volvo recommends 8.9 min. tallahasseegreys
Thanks bay13.The haynes manual says to use brand new front caliper bracket bolts (15mm) and rear caliper mounting bolts (13mm)...not to reuse the old ones. Do you agree this is necessary?
Bay13
No it's not required. I have cleaned off the old bolt threads and applied new lock tight.
