Turbosleeper
I feel stupid asking this question but where is the fuel filter located? Its not where it is on the fwd 850's Does anyone know? I hope it uses same filter as the one I ordered from fcp
crazykn
If you jack up (and support it with jackstands) the passenger side, it is located behind the sideskirt near the rear passenger side wheel. There is a 10mm bolt that holds the filter to the bracket. The connections on the hoses are quick disconnect, you need to insert a 17mm wrench between the filter and using a prying action, you can pop off the connectors. Before you do any hose removal, use the bleed schrader valve to bleed off pressure (this valve is located a upstream (a few inches away) from the filter and there is one by the fuel injector rail). Its a really easy job, if you have the simple tools.

erikv11
... It's not where it is on the fwd 850's ... ... behind the sideskirt near the rear passenger side wheel. ... so I'm just curious, on the AWD is it in the regular place (rear passenger) or not? crazykn
Lol, I guess I could've read the first post a bit better. The Fuel filter is more upstream than the FWD. If i remember, its in a tougher to reach spot, namely near the rear axle. It might covered by a protective cover.

You have to remove the interior access panel (where the pump access would be if it were FWD) to get the line off the front, and undo the securing clamp, then get the rear line from underneath. It's not the same filter as FWD.
