Tyler T5R
I'm thinking about replacing the oil cooler lines on my T-5R sedan. I came across this set and I'm wondering if I should use them. Would you install them? How old do you think they are? What would you pay for them?

whoa
I bet something is wrong with the idea of dremelling a slot along those crimp connectors and putting some hose clamps around them to tighten them. Or would that work?
Mesoam
any good hydraulic hose shop can put new hose on there for you
Tyler T5R
Do I need to have these rebuilt? Is something wrong with them?
the commissar!
Yes there is something wrong with them. They are leaking. You can rebuild them, or pay to have them rebuilt, or if you have deep pockets get new ones. But don't waste your time putting them on your car like that. You will need new O-rings for both ends. JDLC rebuilds the lines for a good price if you don't want to DIY. Check in FS threads and/or group buy area. That is how you rebuild them at home...I'd use oetiker clamps instead of worm clamps.

Anyway, to the OP, I do them, and has all the o-rings and such depending on option you want. Click my sig for details. And if you have two cores' that would be $40 back to you! Lmk. Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but we were in no rush at all and got it done in close to 35 min. Not even joking. Thank you for the lines once again. Tyler T5R
Well, thanks everyone for your responses. They're very interesting considering that I purchased these lines from GeraldJ as "like new" and "less than 50 miles on them". You'll notice I did not give any bias when I asked my questions and yet you all implied they needed to be rebuilt. Seven out of eight poll responses said they would not install them. I feel I have been ripped off so I opened a dispute through PayPal. Unfortunately, PayPal "claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a refund." Great. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING FROM GeraldJ. I am out $90.
