Fake-R
I'm having a hell of a time taking the old pulley off, and am just wondering what methods you've used to overcome this. Tried nearly everything, from putting the car in car, and holding the brake, to trying to hold the pulley with a punch, but it just won't work. Might give an impact a try tomorrow, but anything else incase that fails?

the commissar!
Yep, I had the same trouble and even my old air gun wouldn't knock it loose, so I went to Harbor Freight and got a 625 ft/# rated one for ~$75 and that did the trick. Once bolt was off I didn't even need the deadblow...
Fudge_Brownie
Impact gun for sure. Not sure how powerful/quality the gun I was using was, but I had to hold it on there, trigger down, for a few seconds before it broke free.
