My S70 Got Vandalized

I've had my tire slashed from pissing people off..

I called the cops immediately, cops went to their door, restraining order.

DO you not believe in calling the cops?

I don't see how anyone could be STUPID enough to go after the car again after they've seen the cops.

AND if this is true vandalism, the police will dust for fingerprints.

Not that i'm doubting you, but my experience with vandalism would be first step of calling the police...and i've heard ZERO mention of it. Just that its totaled and you want a new car.

I see what you mean there. When I made the original post, I was not aware of the additional damage. Then I went down to the car to pull some parts off of it, and saw the damage.

My point in posting this was to show what happened to my car, and let people know that I am looking for another car. Not to see whether I damaged my car or not. I have wayyyy too much money into this car, and I would be lucky to get a fraction of that with the pay out....so yeah. not smart to do that to your own car.

There are extra damage because it's Sunday and allstate won't tow till tomorrow. This afternoon some asshole cane and busted in the windows and the headlights. And to answer your question, NO!!! I did not do it.

So here's my question, are we to believe that operating under the "broken windows" theory, someone decided to take another whack at your car just because they found it in an already bashed state?

Where exactly was this car parked the first time it got bashed and where was it the second time? And how come you didn't hear them attacking it? That kind of damage would take a lot of effort and noise to accomplish. And why didn't anyone else hear anything? Did you call the police?

Just seems highly suspect. Is Eureka that bad of a town or do you just live in a bad section?

The car was left in a gravel turn out at the bottom of my driveway......about an 1/8 mile from my house.

It was there all night. Believe whatever you want to believe. I have a ton of people that have seen the car and saw that there was extra damage during the day. It sucks ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD that the forum that I love to go to has such ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD holes that say the things they do. I was hoping for some "that sucks man" and maybe some vandalism stories or something that has happened to your guy's cars.

I am pretty damn upset about what happened, and spent they day on the phone with my insurance and taking some things off of the car, and pretty damn sad that people can do this. I can on here, not to get ripped on, but to talk to some cool people about their cars.

So you didn't notice the window smashed out or the dash tampered with while you were taking pictures???

My point in posting this was to show what happened to my car, and let people know that I am looking for another car. Not to see whether I damaged my car or not.

I know it wasn't your plan. But even though i was born at night...... it wasn't last night, so don't try to piss on my back and then tell me its raining. I pride myself in my level/quality of bullshit and I can tell you that you have much to learn because I can smell yours from the other side of the country.

Anyone who has had a car totaled before knows that 99% of the time you have the option to buy the damaged car back from the insurance company. Which you may not know since you admit to going to pull parts off of it.

So your wrong, it is a good idea to total your car, get a nice check, buy the same car but one with a 5-spd, and swap everything over. But it would have been easier, not to mention LEGAL to just swap it.

So get a good night sleep tonight and practice your story over and over again, because I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that you don't get away with this. For the sake of honest people who actually file truthful claims.

I just think the internet is the sort of place where people want the facts or else they start asking questions. Too many Snopes type stories flying around that people are naturally skeptical is the story doesn't feel right.

And if you want to find an S70 T5M, there's one in Colorado that seems to be up for sale.

I was asking about another people my rents are selling their extra car that I am currently driving and so I need another car ASAP. maybe people should see the whole situation people they jump to conclusions. This was my first car, and had planned on keeping it forever, restoring it to perfect condition. (I am still considering buying it back from the insurance if it is a good price (I can afford it that is). So, just please stop bashing me and stuff. This has been one of the longest days, and I am pretty beat and it sucks to come on the forum where I like to escape in "volvoland" lol. to have you guys thinking I monkeyed my pride and joy up.

So, either cut that out or cut the post.

I have had a crazy day and was posting via my phone. I may have missed a reply. But I do know that I went down in the morning and the car was beat (but the windows intact) when I took the shots. Except for the windshield. Then I went home to grab some tools so I could remove the stereo stuff so no one steals it and when I got back the car it was busted in. So think whatever you want, but don't post it please.

Why didn't you move the car up by the house after it got bashed in and you found the damage that morning?

Don't call me an asshole, I'm not the dickhead that's too lazy or just lacks the skills to swap a trans so smashes my own car up to save the headache.

I always give people the benefit of the doubt, thats why I appologized beforehand in my first post. But after reading your replies even though you said no, your story said yes.
