who cares if hes trying to scam an insurance company, if you pull this s**t off buddy good for you.

Imagine the surprise on my face to look at your profile and see that you are 18

Dickheads like the OP and apparently you also are the reason that honest people under 25ish have to pay ridiculous premiums for their car insurance. When he gets caught, and hopefully he does, his parent's rates are going to skyrocket since I doubt he has his own insurance since he is 19 and his rate would be crazy high if he had full coverage.

Cops don't email police reports, and they don't take reports by phone. A smashed in car and vandalism is a physical act of violence and a unit is dispatched to the scene. Usually not in a hurry, but a unit is generally out there in an hour or so at most. My old man was a cop for 20 years and I have a lot of friends that are LEO's, none of them think your story is legit. And for the sake of giving you the benefit of the doubt, that's a very targeted attack, not random...nobody believes for a second the type of hostility it takes to bash in every single panel and then to "come back later" to bash it some more is at all random.

Not really trying to bash canada, but that's absolute bull stuff. When you call emergency services they don't have an option of not coming. You pay taxes and those taxes pay their salaries. In the US when you dial 911 or contact an emergency service they will arrive, it's only a question of how long it takes for them to get there depending on priority of current emergencies. If dispatch refuses to send a unit, the dispatcher will get in trouble, if a unit refuses to come to the scene, the unit gets in trouble it's as simple as that.

you are not totally correct.

in Orlando any report like this with an unknown suspect SHOULD be made via the Internet or Phone. this is to allow the Tax dollars to be used for emergency calls. For the most part if a caller insists on meeting with an officer or cant get online we send an officer out. however the first step is to suggest online reporting.

i still think its a bit fishy how his damage took place, but i just felt you needed to be corrected on that.

also...for example....in Orange County, if you have a car accident in a parking lot, no officers will respond. you will be directed to make an online crash report.

are you serious? I dont know the truth behind this, and I hate insurance companies as much as the next guy, but wasting a perfectly good car doesnt help anything at all, it just gives insurance companies more of a reason to rape us. did i mention wasting a perfectly good car? seriously wtf, thats ALWAYS wasteful and stupid no matter the reason or result. you my friend are now on the same level as the supporters of cash for clunkers

Does anyone feel bad for the volvo?!

I do!

A parking lot is private property, officer's have no jurisdiction in a parking lot. A act of vandalism to your personal property in front of your house is not the same as a parking lot accident. So if someone breaks into your house and trashes it but has no suspects the police won't come? I know for a fact that's not the case and the same goes for your vehicle parked in your driveway. And if in fact that is the case in your state...I don't want to live in that state.

I see what you mean there. When I made the original post, I was not aware of the additional damage. Then I went down to the car to pull some parts off of it, and saw the damage.

My point in posting this was to show what happened to my car, and let people know that I am looking for another car. Not to see whether I damaged my car or not. I have wayyyy too much money into this car, and I would be lucky to get a fraction of that with the pay out....so yeah. not smart to do that to your own car.

u got alot of money and time invested in the car wouldnt you do your best to make sure the insurance company doesnt total your car? i mean ive gotten more money and sweat equity in my car that i would make sure that the insurance company doesnt total it or even buy it back and fix it up for cheap.

Man, after thinking about this one, and considering the thread contributions, I feel pretty silly for not even considering that this was staged.

I mean, he hit every panel on his car once.

To defend his "the police won't come out" thing, he's in CA. Do I need to say any more?
