If the car isn't fixed before the next event, can I drive the Evo in TS? :D:lol:

Yes, but you better win.

So I finally got tired of my obx muffler rattling against the frame, I decided the best option was to remove it...wanna start a pool on how long it takes me to get pulled over for having a loud exhaust?

So far the only major downside is when I pull into my driveway my roommates car alarm goes off.

This is a great way to keep girls out of your car.

I agree, I better.

Who is the guy in the blue WRX at the novice school who did the videos. He had the incar shots looking at himself also, and he had a big grin on his face the whole time. :) Anway, he was there on Monday also. At the end of the day after he had probably done at least 20 runs on the course, I rode along with him. I corrected a few things he was doing wrong and by the third run he dropped 2 seconds off his time and couldn't believe it. He asked if I was an instructor and I replied, "No, we have National Champions for that." :)

Then he let me drive his car. First time driving a Subie for me, but he at least had it setup right. I matched his best time even with screwing up the start and the last turn around. Shocked him again. That car could have matched the fasted S2000 there if I ran again, but we were done for the day.

Bad news. Metal flakes in the oil, so engine has to be pulled, stripped and cleaned. My cost it rising quickly. :(

4G63 it, the evo are primarily front drive setup anyways. Might be cheaper than a full on rebuild. Just a thought

Well, I am not to that part yet.

We are thinking it was caused by the coilovers. :) The cornering force is now higher than I have ever had, so the g-force is enough to starve the oil pickup, which in turn caused the bearing failure.

We are looking at pan modifications right now.

George, sorry to hear that it's so bad. That really sucks.

You were driving Nick's Subaru - he's a cool guy and really fun. Nice instructing!! Did you get a hug from him? I did last time I was his instructor.

Nope, no hug from Nick, but he did thank me.

Looks like my car will be out of action for 8 weeks, rough guess. Might be less, but luck is something I don't have, so probably more.

The engine should be out of the car next week. After that, the timeline becomes fuzzy because there are more parties involved, engine builder, machine shops, etc.

No Davis, no IPD show.

You'd be proud of me Michelle, I just finished detailing my own car!

George, did you sell the previous motor? If not just throw that one in its a bit more work overall, but youi would be back up and running.

Found two photos of my car the other day from last September that I have never seen before. Probably some of the best shots of my car so far.
