I hear of people driving years without getting pulled over, yet I got pulled over in less then a week, WTF over? I know Kieran hasn't had a front plate on his Saffron R since he bought it almost two years ago. I ripped mine off on the freeway one night and the same week I got stopped for no front plate. Matt_ Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 In almost 6 years with first the S40 and then the S60R, I've only got stopped once (in the S60R) for no front plate. Been pulled over for other things in both cars and the cops never mentioned anything about not having a front plate either. DK144 Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 There is a thread in the cosmetic section here where there is a link to eBay cargo baskets like the Thule ones for $100 I think most cargo baskets sit too high, it looks weird in my opinion. If I go for a basket it would have to be a custom fabrication. I would want it to sit down between the roof rails and as close to the roof as possible. As it is now, my bike trays seem like they stick up too high for my liking. It was a much cleaner look on my 245 with gutter mounts. However, the rack on my XC does not need the fairing as it is very quiet going down the road. It made all kinds of noise on the 245 without a fairing. One step forward... one step back.
