Lots if corn.

Laurie got Jodi by 92/1000ths. Joey placed mid pack. We are almost there.

I am listening to it online. I saw those. Leeds is currently 9th in F Prepared. Eric should be running now.

I have some "scout" information for you. The East course is really fast. If it rains, there will be a puddle near the end of it, so you will have to give it up there or you will spin. Lots of issues there with people sliding through the timing lights, and a few taking out the timing.

West course has like 6 slaloms in it! Not much info on it right now since I have been mostly listening to the east course.

Hey Adam (or anyone else who knows),

I'm finishing up the dashboard for my 240z and I need to paint it. I was thinking of using a texture (http://semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=145) and a vinyl or trim paint to achieve the desired effect. I want some texture because I had to glass the dash and I can't get it totally smooth.

Thoughts on methods or where to buy products like this locally?

Thanks,

Matt

So, let me start by saying my friends call me the paint guy. That being said, that stuff works pretty good, but gives sort of a big texture. If that's what you want it works great. We use textured Rustoleum at work to to get a finer texture. You can buy the SEM stuff at Wesco. There's one in Totem Lake, Bellevue,Lynnwood and Everett. The main advice I can give for the texture paint is, shake the crap out of the can, in fact when you buy it ask if they can throw it in their shaker. It has a LOT of solids that settle. Also, when spraying it start wide of the part then come across your piece. It can spit a little at the start of the spray. I'd topcoat with SEM 15243 satin black. Its got a real OE sheen.

Hope that helps,

Adam

PS none of that was a cut and paste. :)

Thanks Adam, that helps a ton. I'll be sure to pick up the 15243 for a topcoat.

I'm kind of trying to replicate the stock grain texture which is pretty fine (1/2-1mm) so I might give the Rustoleum a shot. What's the name of the product you use?

It's a pretty fine texture, buy looks really good. I'd still topcoat it with the Satin Black SEM cause the sheen is a little high. Its available at any Home Depot or Lowes, but if you wanna meet up I can toss you a can of each. Let me know.

Adam

Edit: please don't mind the working man's hands. My hand modeling days are over. :lol :

Possible hope for the Brick. We have found a leak at the heatercore line on the firewall. I don't think its big enough to explain coolant going bone dry, in a matter of hours after running the engine though.
