dereswyman
Check strap is doable by yourself. There's other DIY threads as well Went out and got some bolts today, I'm hoping this goes smoothly. That popping sound is annoying, feels like the door will snap off every time I open it. Still trying to track down that SRS light.

JackS60
Picked up the car today with a new fuel pump free of charge. Gotta love Barrier! Plus they cleaned it for free too! On another note, I'm looking to put a pinstripe on my black wheels, kind of like this: I visited O'Reilly Auto Parts today and they told me that they could not help me, probably because they all wanted to help the hot blonde behind me in line. Other ideas of how to make this happen or where to get one of these pinstripes. Thanks y'all.

Guest Atom
Easiest to put it on a wheel mounting machine or balancer and use a paint pen while it spins. Tape never stays and pinstripers are babies about striping wheels. Adam

Know anyone who has a mounting machine and could help me do that?

dereswyman
The bolts on the check strap mounting point worked. Now to tackle that SRS... anybody have any tips on how to track a short in the wiring? I've never done electrical work before. Its SRS code 222. Look at the wires behind the glovebox, I think the connector wire us purple if I remember correctly, see if it's unplugged or the wiring is bad, trying clearing it again it might not come back, worst case you buy a airbag from a junked car, even though some would say that's sketchy! The Big Tuna
Danny maybe? Adam That thing is scary as sh*t, unless you want your wheels to look like a Michael j. Fox edition I wouldn't use that machine

I've done that twice now. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong and I can't tell if anything is actually bad. Sprayed it with electronic cleaner and still didn't help. Only works for a few days. I did take a look at the crash sensor itself and it looks like the PO spilled something. I suspect the residue might have melted in the heat so I might try cleaning that area first. I don't mind a jy airbag too much :D
