jdschmidt
I am thinking it could be part of the boost leak I can't find, but before I knew there was a leak it was happening. The car will make 1 "click" every few seconds and drop my rpms and then they go back up. also on my boost gauge when it clicks it goes from vac 20 to vac 10 and then back to 20, does it constantly and I can't figure it out. jdschmidt
i'll go try that. I usually don't run my AC because it needs charger and usually blows air thats just as hot as the outside. But I might have it on really low still.

MyCarIsRed
Yeah I'm gonna fourth (?) the "check you AC" statement. Sounds very much like the ac cycling. Refilling isn't bad, just remember: it will only let you add when the compressor is cycled on. If it's on/off you need to be patient, I usually do it for a few minutes, then give the car a break, add more a few minutes later after the can has warmed. It takes time to get enough in so that the compressor will stay on. Once you've reached that point you're home free. Last year it took the same amount as this year, i used the interdynamics 18oz bottle that comes with the fill gauge. Takes most of the bottle to get the system filled to a happy level. I only use the AC when it gets bad, but it still keeps the charge through the summer.

It will give you a better charge.

This year i did it after work in the parking garage where the cameras couldn't see me on the 90 degree day we had last week thank god i decided that a stop at pep boys was more important than getting to work on time. (and that the garage shade was worth the extra $1) I wonder if my 8 year old can rev the engine without flooring it

MyCarIsRed
I see this going bad places lol Possibly... He has really good common sense for his age. The fact that I would let him even be in the seat with the car running would focus him down like a lazer. Goofball that he is, he does sense the importance of situations, and can really step up when called upon. He also can sense when I'm just being a square... It can get tough when your 8 year old calls you out on being overly parental
