My 850 Hates Me :(

I have had the same occur to me with other brands. The damage can be great if run too long. I have seen complete used motors sell for less than $500. It depends if you want to keep the car or getting something different. Good luck.

There are a ton of Volvos in the N/W. Keep your eyes open and you may get lucky!

Some folks just want a junker that's been in a wreck hauled away.

Bad body, tranny, etc could easily still have a great engine...

The #1 piston and rod maybe damaged, but they are still in the motor ( maybe piston in pieces ). Have the head and oil pan been pulled to see what damage is there? In most cases it is repairable.

nope the head nore oil pan have been pulled, i dont have time for that aha all i know is i burn a TON of oil on start up, no matter what aha on initial start up its nothing but after like turning it off then on it burns like made even with leaving the car run for like a minute after driving for the turbo to drain

and by todays performance at the track i doubt i have a piston or a rod damaged, i was runnign 14's with 15psi of boost and no codes the p0171 code only shows up after a long drive with the car

Sorry JB.

You'll need more than just the engine. You'll need electrical harness, ECU, inter-cooler, and if you keep the AT, you'll need a radiator with the coolant tank and a TCU.

Pay attention if you by an engine from a bone yard, they may not include turbo, tranny, starter, alternator, or manifolds.

It aint easy being broke.
