stardog
Have an 850 1996 w/Premium sound that has some burned out radio lamps. Can't see the display at night nor most of the selector switches. I went to Radio Shack and saw that the lamps have long wires on them. Do the lamps have to soldered in? If so, I'd be interested in putting an aftermarket unit in. What fits in the factory opening and fits flush?
drPheta
Just wrap the wires around the old bulb cases as you see the originals. It won't be exact, but if you do it right the wires will stay and contact the points.FYI, here's the original write up.http://www.volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=8357

Is there any pictures anywhere that show this?
