TxS70
So I am looking at buying a 2003 c70. The PO took the car to pep boys to have the battery and alternator changed. When he returned to get the car, the radio was not powering on. He tried to replace the fuses ( #7 was blown) and it popped right away. We also tried, same result. We went to look at the car today, its in great shape. We did not have tools, or we would have disconnected the battery and put the key in position 2 then reconnected the battery. Anyone think this might help?
BEJinFBK
I'm assuming that we're talking about an OEM Volvo deck, here. Should be an Alpine built SC-901. In the diagrams, it looks like the ONLY thing that fuse 7 feeds is the constant power to the HU. Pop the HU outta the dash, unplug the main power connector ( it's the one with two big red/black wires). Try one more fuse. It it blows, there's a short in the harness. If it doesn't, pull the good fuse back out, reconnect the radio and reinstall the fuse. If she blows? That HU is toast...:(
