tallahasseegreys
It does not appear to be leaking, although I've only let it warm up in the garage and haven't driven it around yet.Should I just leave it be and drain from the lower hose in the future, or should I try to get it out & replace it with a new petcock valve?? Do I risk causing a greater problem by trying to extract it??
Bay13
Many petcocks have been broken when tightening them. It's ok and your draining options are like you mentioned. (via lower radiator hose) If it's not leaking don't worry about it. If you should want to take it out and replace it with a new one, a HEX (not sure what size) will fit up in there to get it to unscrew. The part number for the Draincock is 3547226. tallahasseegreys
Alright, cool. Thanks a lot bay13.I figured the only way to get it out was to drill it out or something. Nice to know a hex will do the trick. But I guess I'll just leave it inless it leaks.
