bdimag
i have my 244 to install on and do a write up... that'd be the basics. i have wiring diagrams for 850/x70 to figure out specifics (+ anyone local?) -for the lights you'd probably want to use that little screw to toggle the auto-lights... right? it currently controls DRL -rain sensors... would you give up the intermittent? which some of you have already paid to 'upgrade' i'd put in the effort to make an understandable installation guide... This might be a cool upgrade but I am not willing to give up my programmable intermittent wipers, at least not yet.

Black Betty
Brian I'll be a guinea pig and 55 is a good deal on this. How bout I pay for te kit and we can install it together to figure out a write up?

How bout I pay for te kit and we can install it together to figure out a write up? thanks, that'd be perfect... $55 was with me taking a guess at only the cost of shipping them to me... and I was being generous. I'm waiting on that quote. for keeping the programmable intermittent wiper function, a toggle switch would be the cheapest solution... but with some more costly relays/etc I don't see why that couldn't be a behind the scenes kinda thing... TaskMule
and if you could keep both? maybe turn it on-off-on for rain-sensing? YES guy. That sounds great. programmable intermittent wipers? The wiper relay from some VW's that has a 99 stamped on it works in 850 cars. And maybe others. Searchy searchy Jordan sell them often in the for sale section. Excellent 25$ investment. I have one. Yay for me.

bdimag
I think maybe throw in a few more bucks and I can work up some plug and play harnesses... wiper harness would plug in where the intermittent relay goes (and either replaces it altogether or branches to both) headlight switch... i dunno... i need to look at one. Black Betty
Brian. I'd love to keep my 99 relay. Actually it's out of the car now if you need one to experiment on.
bdimag
i have mine, and even a wiper switch... so i may wire a mock system... my thoughts were a circuit that routes to one or the other... do you have a spare light switch? really i just need to sit down with my big book of volvo wiring diagrams cause I think this is a go.
