vjaneczko
thanks , will not do that. no new pin & spring kit either. the caliper cant be frozen , i pull the ebrake and lines from both sides on the road appear in my rear mirror but there seems to be less noise now that i been driving it , and at times i would pull the ebrake to stops to break them in. it seems to be helping. yes , I have always bought OEM pads , but wtf ... i wanted cheap REAR pads this time u know what i mean. Yeah, pickup a pin & spring kit, especially if your spring is broken. ou can probably get by with the old pins, but the spring helps to keep everything in place and probably helps with squeaks, too. The caliper has nothing to do with the e-brake. If the noise is going away by pulling the e-brake, it sounds like you'll need to adjust the e-brake spring or replace the e-brake pads. Bazarvospeed
Question , should I bend the tabs towards the pads more or away? I wanna give that a shot before I spend more $$. If that doesn't work I'm gonna go pick up oem pads + possibly a pin and spring kit if lube doesn't work.

I'd imagine that they're heat-treated and won't do well under a "bending effort". The kit is around 9 bucks at AutoZone. If you're talking about the e-brake adjustment screw, I think rolling it down will loosen them up. To adjust them, make sure the e-brake handle is in the down position (learned this the hard way!) and roll the adjuster until the wheel can't be spun. Then back off the adjuster a few times so there isn't any resistance. Repeat on the other tire. Once they are done, check the distance that the handle moves when you pull on it. It should be tight around half way up. If it travels all the way up, drop it back down and tighten the hex nut behind it, which is under the little pop-out cover in the armrest. Bazarvospeed
Tabs? What tabs? thanks people for all your answers , I will tackle this the next time I have off from work. This all is happening at the worst time. Work has been slow lately , just pulled in 2 extra side jobs this week. only expected to work for 1...but giving this a shot at being a workaholic. and this damn brake issue , its just not the right time for it to be happening. As I been driving it , it seems to be making noise less than before. now its making noises at very slow speeds & hard right turning. Sometimes the noise is constant that i just pull the ebrake to shut em up I think im gonna end up with all OEM rotors again , pads , and them pin & spring kits. and a little maintaince since I'll be doing more driving for work.
