DelawareT5M
The other night I was driving down some back roads flipping my high beams off and on, then they stopped working... along with my turn signals and hazards I checked the main fuse on the top box and it wasn't blown but which # block fuse below the dash would control this? I don't have a Haynes for the S70 and the 850 Haynes wasn't any help. I'm trying to rule out whether not it's a problem with the toggle on my steering column or if it could be a blown block fuse. Any suggestions or can anyone tell me which fuse this would be?
--Aaron--
the turns and hazards i bet is due to your hazard switch..........knock on the switch and see what happens not sure ab the high beams....prob just a relay pretty sure the main light control relay handles those, we can put my good one in ur car fri to troubleshoot if ya want when we meet up friday lmk if u want me to bring a good hazard switch and chilton book
(n)A-GAME
Did you solve this John? I'd start by replacing the hazard switch, it controls the hazards and turn signals, and when mine went I had the same problems you did.
MyCarIsRed
For them all to drop out at once you'd kinda want something involving all the items, not a combination of such. Hazard switch has little to do with high beams, that's the lcu. Looking at the wiring diagrams connector 24/13 in the haynes manual is the one thing they all share, 53 pin engine-instrument panel connector. How bumpy was the back road? anything else not working right? do the dash indicators work for the lights? If the hazard switch and turn stalk don't prove to be the at the root of it, just start making sure your connectors underdash are all tight. keep an eye out for arcing residue if you find a loose one. --Aaron--
When we met up to exchange the cash and Jewels yesterday I took him a working hazard switch. We swapped that in and no dice. We then put my main light control relay in his car and nothing again. Then he double checked fuses and found one blown, must have missed it when he initially checked. The problem was just a fuse AFAIK, unless it came back for him on the way home......
