I replaced that piece of crap twice, and both of the "new" hoses split also. Replaced it with fuel safe emission hose that I got a scrap of for free at Autozone and it has been solid since. Working with an old supplier who does our RIP kit silicone to redo the whole kit, starting from square one as it were. I'll post up as I get more info in the coming weeks.
