Man, after reading that thread it looks like I can do more to beef this project up. I'm now looking at cotton batting. The MLV is from a distributor of household deadening products, BayAreaNoiseControl.com. Same MLV stuff you can get anywhere (same thickness and same absorbing properties). The roll weighs about 150 pounds, so picking it up in person saves an ass load of money. This is all going to start adding up very quickly. ~$250 for deadening material ~$150 for MLV (enough to do the whole car, potentially) If I were doing the whole car, the deadening material would run upwards of $500.
