Hey Guys,

I ordered a Double Din DVD Player and I wired it up using a harness from Best Buy Plugged it in and i dont know if i wired it wrong or if i have a faulty component. I plug it in and it beeps at me and gives me a Grey screen saying Back view...The Player has a option for a back up camera but when i try to go to a different Mode or Setting It wont Let me...I have a d2206 Enonon DVD player. And A 200 V70R is the wiring different in my car? I have put one in my 855 a few years back without any trouble and my R seems to have more wires than my 855 did... i dont know if some of its security and one wire is the AMP wire..it looks like it has 2 antenna plugins and has 2 cannon plugs along with the two ports with speaker wire..ive looked for a Diagram but couldnt find one in the owners manual or find one worthy enough on the internet...can anyone help me out? A diagram of what each wire is would be great! or any advice...I probably should of went with a Pioneer DVD player or something but i liked the price and what it could do for the money so i figured i would give the Enonon a try since thats what i put in the 855 a couple years ago..

Thanks.

did you use a wiring harness adapter? or did you cut the plug and try matching colors?

Basically there should be a wire going to the HU which tells it that you're in reverse, and it sounds like you've hooked that up by mistake to a constant signal...

it's a wire on the radio side of the wire harness... it's in a wiring diagram for your radio, not for your car

take it out and attach the very basics -- red yellow black -- see what it does.

maybe it's more like -- a reverse signal turns on the camera and any signal coming over that RCA switches to back-up mode...

is the empty rca plug covered?

now that i'm home let me find some wiring diagrams too...

the orange wire... make sure it is disconnected.

that's usually the standard for "illumination" but in this case its where you feed +12 while in reverse.

the 98 color code chart you posted doesnt match the colors of my harness i bought from best buy

Would it work if i tapped the orange for illumination to the power wire? because the screen does not appear ever since i disconnected the orange wire..I have checked a few times and it seems like everything is hooked up right..by looking at the charts. But I wasnt clear on how to read the PDFs you PMed me..

The harness you bought isn't supposed to match the factory harness colors. Its color coded to match the harness coming out of the head unit.

Tie the brown wire coming off the HU with the black ground wire also. There is no illumination wire listed in the diagram above but its possible that its just setup to be always on.
