bdimag
the colors above or what's listed in the PDF... those should match with the more standardized colors of the harness you bought... so: Green Brown --> Yellow = +12v constant Yellow/Violet or Yellow/Black --> Red = +12v switched/ignition Black --> Black = Ground i was just trying to make sure the harness you bought was setup correctly... from best buy -- probably. but check.. Orange should be illumination and maybe that's why you don't see anything.... though, you should... that's really to make it BRIGHTER when it's dark -- not all cars have illumination control for the radio or at all... BUT in the wiring diagram, it's listed as "BACK UP" ---with yellow/red/black hooked up and got nothing on the screen... do you see any lights at all? i.e. is it on? ---attach the orange along with y/r/b. what happens? ---are you using aux in? try removing the clip that has all the AUX/VIDEO/CAMERA rca connections... any change? bdimag
The harness you bought isn't supposed to match the factory harness colors. Its color coded to match the harness coming out of the head unit. Tie the brown wire coming off the HU with the black ground wire also. There is no illumination wire listed in the diagram above but its possible that its just setup to be always on. illegal as it may be, that's what i just did for my friend but that should only stop him from playing videos... the screen should still come on. bdimag
in my searches i stumbled onto the forums for the company... maybe you should post there -- it might actually be defective and exchangeable... or someone there there might have a fix. if there's a way to reset it, that might do it..... i remember my friend brought me one with the pop-out screen that wouldn't come out... reset it and it was perfect...
