Head of the bolt still on, can't get enough swing to knock the bolt free. If I am picturing in my mind what you are talking about correctly....can you use a LARGE C clamp with another bolt to push the broken end through?..maybe an oversized socket on the none moving side so the bolt head has room to come out. MyCarIsRed Posted July 23, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2010 tried that. eventually i had cut 2/3 of the bolt away and using the arm as leverage on the bushing, snapped the bolt head off. Yep. Sucked hardcore, and not the good way. but the rest of the job went smoothly considering the rust. Let the boy stay up to help, I have better luck with an audience.
