T5wagon1717
Hey all. I have the SC-815 in my 850 and I took it out to splice in a "Blitz" ipod hookup to it, and it didn't power on. I thought maybe I spliced the wrong wire, and so I put it back to normal (suddered the original wire back together) and the radio will not turn on......Everything is intact, and I have an SC-816 which does the same thing, so it is before the radio itself. Any ideas what wires I need to check?? It has power because the security light is on, and it will eject cds. It's killing me rolling around with no tunes...help. T5wagon1717
Hey, I didn't even touch those wires.....They all look plugged into the harness (nothing got busted loose or anything) and the one I put back together is def working. What could have happened??? I tried to follow the wires to see if they were pulled out on the other end, but it went into the wire harness and disappeared. lol. What can I do? What can I do? push each individual wire into the connector to make sure none of the contacts are loose. Then unhook the connector and make sure you've got power to the yellow black connector. You unhooked it ya? well then you touched the wires.
T5wagon1717
Yellow and black has power, and I pushed all connectors in. Tried both radios, so it's not the radio either..... What's now?
T5wagon1717
So, the problem isnt on the plug side....I think its on the other end...... I don't even know where the other end is. lol. I took the plug apart and indevidually plugged in each wire to make sure they were all connected right, and it still did not work. Teal
T5wagon1717
ok. I feel dumb....it was a fuse. lol. But I had to take the battery off when I was working on it so I had to input the code. The previous owner had two cards with codes, which neither of them worked. Luckily I had the sc-816 out of my S70 which I plugged in and worked great. Now I have everything working including my ipod hookup.
