Guest Guest_Matt_*
Looking to put an aftermarket Nav system in my 2005 S60 R. The sound of the current stereo is pretty good for a stock system, but I always am looking for richer sound... I have been looking at Nav systems/Receiver combos and have run into the same problems with most. The Nav system requires you to insert a Disc every time you want to use it. You can create a route and then take the disc out, but not only is it a pain when you want to listen to music, you have to put the disc back in when you want to make a route change. I can forsee the disc getting beat up from all the wear from putting it in and taking it out... The car currently has a in-dash 6 changer which I love... Saves those trips to the trunk! Any suggestions? My vision of the perfect system is to have a stationary slot set aside for the Nav DVD and have 5-6 slots for Music/MP3's/DVD... That way when you use the system you can select the stationary disc, select your route, then switch to the changer for some tunes. If you need to make a change select the stationary slot make your change then switch back to the changer.... Does anything like this exist? What is your opinion on changing out the 11 speaker stock system? Will an aftermarket be better? Will a new deck require new amps and speakers? Should I add amps/tubes? Thanks for your helpMK
