Hey guys I'm looking at a double din HU, its a Eonon D2206.I'm getting it barely used and for less than list price, I was wonderin if anyone has had negative experiences w this brand? Or is there one close to its price range that's much better? They go for 220-ish new I guess. I really wanted a nav system buttt I was looking them up and most are almost 1K! Here's a pic d2206-01.jpg

Looks like cheap China crap. I just replaced something very similer to this in my Bro in-laws car after in crapped out in just over a year. I refused to do the original install but was very happy to throw in the trash. I gladly replaced it with a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT. It looks and functions great for the price.

+1 or the Z2...since u can update/upgrade it to the Z3...

Dont waste ur money on that one u posted...

you can update the z1 to a z3... and swap in a bigger hard drive while you're at it.

I have the Z3 software on my PC if anyone ever needs it.

Nav systems are no where close to 1k, more like 5-600 for most of them.

Yeah, if you get it from Walmart.

If you want a quality one that is going to work for more than 3 weeks, your gonna pay.

I Don't know what you consider quality but there are plenty of choices from Pioneer And Kenwood in the 5-700$ range

Most of the models for your links are for old/new stock radios(going by #'s some are several years old). While they are more similar than different than the current counterpart, the price is substantially less.

How was the install of your Double din? did you find a kit for it? did I miss something? I heard it's a bit of a PITA installing DD's in our cars...

my unit was slightly wider and slightly shorter than the stock opening. So you do some sanding and get creative with hard plastic to even it out and on goes the trim. Its tedious but I love mine.
