Apparently He Didn'T Get The Memo...

The big deal is the horrible damage he is causing to that car. We aren't just talking about some wasted tires.

And I don't think Volvo wants their car featured doing that on TV for a handful of reasons.

Your gonna have to name those, cause it makes me want one and every other car manufacturer with a performance model does it. I saw an S60R in one commercial, they showed other S60's then the R passed them with the body kit. Hardly inspiring. They did not sell many of them, hence why they stopped making them. Marketing sucked is my point.

I understand the marketing was weak, however they don't want their car messing with the brand's image of soccermom safety mobile. And more importantly, they don't want the car shown doing things they won't warranty, will otherwise damage the car, or is illegal.

looks like the car didn't really made it to the end of the video.... seems like it's in limp-home-mode already half way through the video. and by the way, the belt is on the right way, only thing wrong is the driver.

also, if Volvo were to put this kind of stuff in their tv ads, then i believe there will be a whole bunch of executive people against it right from the beginning. since they are not allow to promote racing, speeding, dangerous driving, or improper operation of the vehicle.
