MyCarIsRed
I want to chase down the why before i slap new rubber on. The passenger rear tire wears on the inside edge pretty badly, far more than the driver's side. The strut mounts look new (but are at least 30k old) and there is good spring left in them. I tightened down the mount bolts a bit, but nothing was loose. Inner d-link bushings look tired, but ok and both appear to be the same wear/age. The right outer (body mount) trailing bushing is however in rougher shape, and looks like the sleeve has rusted much like my subframe mounts did. The left side looks much better, It might have been replaced before. I'm planning on swapping the trailing bushing, but is there anything else that could be causing the wear? Rear struts seem fine, but i rarely load the car down.
--Aaron--
Sounds like funky toe wear to me, which would be caused by the associated delta link bushings, etc. Has the car ever been in an accident in the rear? Ever pile ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD into a curb or do anything that would affect the car's tracking? My bet is on one of these suckers as they have the most to do with keeping your toe in line... http://www.fcpgroton...category_id/190 http://www.fcpgroton...category_id/190 Remember with these, one side adjusts the opposite so examine the one on the opposite side from where the issue is. Scratch that, examine them both.....you never know. The body bushing there could also be the cause if it is in rough shape.........personally I would replace the tired bushing you mentioned and have the alignment checked. They'll be able to tell you if those anchors are shot.

Everything got much better after the front subframe mounts. No curb hits on my account, and it was a central nh car so not a citymobile. Body is straight, little bumper sag in the back from a traffic tap, but tire wear predates that fun. Hmm... maybe i need to jack it up and really get into the dlinks to get a better look.
