Oreo931
Also, does anyone know how to remove the steering wheel?? lol I went to a junk yards and I found bunch of 940 and 960's steering wheel, but I didn't know how to remove it. Well I also didn't have the right tool. Thanks. Two T30 torx screws in the back of the wheel hold the airbag on. One 18mm bolt holds the wheel on. FAST850R
I will bleed the system first as you guys suggested. Lets see how it goes after bleeding it. Thank you for the info about removing steering wheel. I guess I am going to get the steering wheel this weekend I will post up here after I swap the steering wheel. Oreo931
be careful with anything involving the airbag. unplug the negative battery terminal and you'll be fine. if you don't, you'll get an SRS light and could possibly set off the airbag. T5power
are the 2 torx screws on the backside of the wheel the same size in both 850 and x70? i'm pretty sure it is... or else its T25.. the only reason i ask is cause i need to find a torx set (or single driver) long enough t get back in there. i let my friend borrow my set, and she strips every single one of them :arob:
FAST850R
Thank you for the tips. I will make sure I disconnect the - cable before I remove a steering wheel. Hum....I need to buy a torx set. It's good to have a nice set...I guess it's either T26 or T30.

Gizmo
maybe have an extra bit, too. I lost one inside the steering wheel once... Oh and be wary of clearance issues, Another time I had to cut 1/3 of a screwdriver handle off to get to those bolts
FAST850R
OK guys, I just spent 4 hours of driving, searching, and removing 940&960 steering wheels at a pick N oull junk yard..... 940 wasn't the correct one so I got 960, and paid freaking $65 but the 960 steering wheel was eactly same size and shape of my 850R.... I brought it back to the yard and tehy don't refund money, only credit. Anyway, I guess 850R and 960 shared the same steering wheel I guess.
